She is pretty, soft, smart, sweet and such a pleaser. Who could ask for more? Well two days before her photo shoot a skunk was not too interested. But at least she got to have her hair done! This lovely girl is coming into the studio next month -- can't wait!

I had the pleasure of photographing C2 for the Mt. Diablo Veterinary Medical Center who is honoring C2 as their June Pet of the Month! C2 was chosen by the staff for her amazing attitude while she has undergone several big surgeries, including a hip replacement surgery. C2 has been a real trooper throughout everything! I'm so glad I was able to meet this charming pup when she posed for pictures! Congratulations C2!

What a sweetie pie! Riley is just approaching his 4 month birthday and I had the totally fun afternoon photographing him! What a ham and so sweet. Can't wait to watch him grow up!

To get a pup's attention, I have used squeakers, horns, whistles, toys and more - but these two beauties ALWAYS perked their adorable heads when Mom or Dad asked if they wanted to go to the factory.  Turns out visiting and having the run of Dad's drapery factory every two weeks is just about the funnest thing imaginable!  I think taking their pictures IS the funnest thing imaginable!

Next to the word 'energy' in Wikipedia is a picture of Charlie, this handsome Brittany Spaniel. He runs and runs and runs.....and then snoozes....and runs some more! Notice that Garmin Tracker?  That's so Mom can find him with her iPhone if he wanders off too far!

I have known this sweet guy for over 14 years.  He was my own Golden Retriever Sunny's  best friend until we lost her two years ago.  Middy did not have much time left so I photographed him doing the things he loved best - playing at the dog park and snoozing.  Even with his aches and pains, he was loving and happy until the very end.  Farewell old boy - I don't think I have ever known a more loyal or loving dog.

Think a kitty and dog can't be best buds -- think again!  I was overwhelmed by all the cuteness!

Little did you know that a giant clam was in our vicinity!  Central Garden and Pet headquarters in Walnut Creek, Ca was home to a beautiful one named Shelly by employees.  It was thriving, but was outgrowing its tank.  So the decision was made to donate Shelly to the Steinhart Aquarium where it could live out its life.  As giant clams can live to be 100 years old, Shelly can look forward to a long life! I was asked to photograph Shelly before it was moved  and based on how many employees who stopped by to ask what was going on, Shelly will be missed!

I took these images as part of an 'employees and their pets' project for Central Garden and Pet's annual report.  Could not have asked for two cuter or nicer models!  It is bittersweet looking at them now, as Linda had to let Charlie go after a long and very happy life.

Ice covered grass could not stop Molly, the amazingly athletic labrador retriever, from catching this frisbee - and she proudly brought it back every time!  What a cutie and so sweet too.
